Randy Rich, the builder, is an entrepreneur who is easy to work with, pays close attention to detail, expects only the best from his craftsmen, and above all is a man of honesty, integrity and vision. He holds a Master's Degree in Business from the University of Georgia and has been involved in real estate since 1985 in one form or another as a landlord, historic home renovator, builder, investor, speculator, appraiser, home and landscape designer, property tax manager, and real estate salesperson. He is a member of the Lake Oconee Area Builder's Association.

In 2002 Rich Custom Homes acquired all the subs formerly utilized by Terry Boles of Terry Boles Custom Homes. Terry was a builder in the Reynold's Plantation Model Home Program for over 15 years. Randy and Terry have been doing business together since 1995. This acquisition was made due to Terry's decision to pursue retirement plans in Florida after having built and remodeled houses all over the Lake Oconee Area for more than 20 years.

Randy first visited the Lake Oconee area in the late 1980's in pursuit of a lake lot. After spending years looking for lake lots at Allatoona, Lanier, Blue Ridge, Chatuge, Nottley, Burton, and even Lake Martin in Alabama he decided Lake Oconee was the place to be!

After having been thoroughly impressed by a tour of Reynolds Plantation and Port Amor he came across the Harbor Club Sales Office. The salesman showed him a site plan on the wall for the development and explained that if he signed a contract that day to purchase a lake lot, he would get first choice of the lake lots.

Having first pick, Randy made his choice combining water and golf green views by selecting a lake lot overlooking the signature hole of the new Tom Weiskopf/Jay Moorish Golf Course at Harbor Club. This lot and the house he had built on it in 1995 with its incredible view is still featured in Harbor Club's "Having It All" advertisement and can be seen in numerous magazine publications and on local area billboards.

Randy takes great pride in selecting future building lots with exceptional views or lots that have some uniqueness about them. These lots can be part of your building package if you don't already have your lot picked out. Currently he has for sale exceptional golf green views and lake lots in a wide range of prices within Harbor Club. He also has lake lots available in the Sugar Creek Marina and Emerald Shores areas.

According to Randy, "It amazes me how many people from Atlanta don't know where Lake Oconee is (even though it is only a hour and a half away) and I tell everyone from Atlanta that the Lake Oconee area is poised for tremendous growth and even today is still only in its infancy. The lake Oconee area has a very bright future as long as the integrity of the Lake always stays protected".
